The sixth mobility - Chios, Greece, June 2016
The visit in Greece was the time when the coordinators of all the partner schools could sum up the project 'Big Issues in Small Hands'. It was a great event in Greek school with many students, teachers and parents participating. We could see step by step how this project changed our schools: the school parliaments and their school activity, the charity actions which helped so many people in need locally and in Africa, exchanging experience of all the schools, learning each others culture: dances, legends, sport, crafts. That evening we had a chance to recall all these valuable moments and we made that evening one of them. Presentation of the national dances wasn't just a presentation since many students and teachers couldn't resist the temptation to join in. For the last time we had a chance not only to see, but to experience this great cultural variety among the project partners.

The fifth mobility - Mala Skala, Czech Republic, April 2016
Political tensions in Turkey at this time made our Erasmus team change the destination of this mobility from Istanbul to Czech Republic. Since the changes were made really in the last moment, it was decided that only coordinators will be there. We met in Mala Skala, a beautiful small mountain village. During this visit we presented the current work of our school councils, shared their actions. We compared the Career Days in all the partner schools - the days when our students could find out more about various jobs, have interviews with people doing them, visit number of work places. All that to get inspired. We also presented our cooperation with a finance institution, thanks to which our youngest students could learn the value of money. All coordinators brought with them a part of our Charity Mandala. It represented the whole year cooperation of each school with a chosen charity foundation helping in Africa.

The fourth mobility - Białystok, Poland 4th-9th October
This October we were privileged to welcome 9 teachers and 10 students from our partner schools from Turkey, Estonia, Greece and the Czech Republic. We missed France very much, unfortunately they couldn’t make it. The moment our Erasmus guests entered the school, they saw how our students celebrate the Fairy Tale Day (our school parliament’s idea). Mickey Mouse, Pippi Langstrumpf, friendly witches were walking along the corridors passing ‘regular’ students.
The main theme of this mobility was ‘Work and Professions’ in the context of focusing on our skills, strengths. Therefore our main goal was to let our guests experience a variety of traditional profession our region offers and also learn some new skills. We started from the tin wistle workshop. After an hour we could already play a traditional Polish song – like professional musicians J In the afternoon we changed the profession – on the skating rink everybody could decide themselves whether they prefer figure skating or hockey style. The students, the teachers and the parents we all had a great fun. During this week we also checked what it is like to be a paper maker and a printer (a person, not the machine ;-), a pottery maker and a blacksmith. We also learnt how the traditional orthodox icons are painted in the Museum of Icons in Supraśl.
To learn more about Białystok, we had a trip around the city centre on a traditional red bus ‘Jelcz’. Białystok is a city surrounded by the oldest and best preserved forest in Europe, so we spent one day in Białowieski National Park, where we could see the bisons, wolves, deers alive and many more in the Nature Museum. The sausages eaten by the fire tasted great after the whole day outdoor.
The last day was a busy day for students since they were involved in building and programming lego robots. After that we all visited the Esperanto Centre – the place where we learned a few words in Esperanto, the universal language created by Ludwik Zamenhof who lived in Białystok.
It was a wonderful week for us, for the whole school community. Thank you once again for making it so special.
PS. Despite all the professions you saw and practiced here, we hope you won’t change your job by the Turkish mobility ;-)

The third mobility - Arcachon, France 18th-23rd May
The meeting in Arcachon was truly amazing for so many different reasons that it will be difficult to list them all. The main theme of the visit was ‘Free Time – in active and creative ways’. The school in Arcachon and the city itself turned out to be the best place to analyze that.
The first day we were welcomed at the school by the students performing various dances, breakdance including! We were also given handmade presents: a necklace made of an oyster shell with a little pearl in it. Then we went on to present the works of art of our students inspired by the national artist. In our case it was Edward Dwurnik. We also had a chance to meet an artist from Arcachon and talk about his style of painting. The next day we took part in the Funniest Olympic Games Ever. Each partner had chosen a funny game, which we learnt to play at home. Here at the Arcachon stadium we had a chance to play all of them together. The organization of the event was truly amazing. Great job!
We also had a chance to see how the renowned French vine is produced thanks to the visit in a nearby vineyard Chateau Brown. We had a guided walk around the old city in Bordeaux admiring its architecture and dramatic history. We climbed the breathtaking Dune du Pyla, the biggest dune in Europe. Our students had a chance to take part in sailing classes.
The last evening was the evening of national dances when each school presented their national dance. We couldn’t just watch it and clap our hands. We really wanted to try dancing ourselves so one by one we joined the Turkish students dancing and just a few moments later we had all the teachers and students all having fun to Turkish traditional music… then to Greek ‘Zorba’… then to other national hits.
Dear French Team, thank you so much for organizing such a great and inspiring mobility. We admired your creativity and dedication in whatever you do. You all seem to believe in one motto: ‘If something is worth doing, it’s worth doing well’. In your case it was just ‘perfect’.
Here you can find the photos and feel this atmosphere yourself.

The second mobility - Tartu, Estonia 16th-20th March 2015
We loved spring in Estonia! We'd expeced icy winter-like weather but what we experenced in Tartu and Tallinn was full sun and +16 Celsius degrees. So thank you Estonia for having such weather during our mobility - supposedly it was the warmest spring week in Estonia in decades! And thank you Kristi for organizing everything so perfectly. We had lots of time for presentation of our project activities and getting very inspired by many of them (the French animation or charity race organised by the school were just breathtaking!) There was also a chance to experience something really unusual in Tartu. The visit in the centre of science AHHAA is something our students will talk about for a long time: how they rode a bicycle on the line hang high above the ground or stroke a walking dinosaur or programmed lego robots or... We simply can't list them all!
The day in Tallinn was busy but also packed with the attractions. The students took part in art workshop in KUMU, the Museum of Art making their own pieces of art using the wire and the press. The tour around the old city in Tallinn was unforgettable thanks to the beautiful weather :-) and the stories told by our tourist guides. Our stay officially ended in a beautiful restaurants with a candlelit dinner and delicious Estonian dishes.
And here are the photos proving everything I said :-)

The first mobility - Usti nad Labem 12th-16th January 2015

We’ve been waiting for such a long time for the first mobility in Usti. It was worth it J Thanks to Petra (the Czech coordinator) and her great team, everything went just perfect.
The mobility was focused on the school councils in particular and the idea of self-governing in general. At the first meeting we had a chance to present our schools and the role of a school parliament in them. From this very moment we learnt that some schools have a long tradition of a students’ council and the others has just embraced the idea for the first time, encouraged by this project. Later on we took part in the workshop expanding this topic. What I found especially interesting there, was the importance of building a team from the students involved in the school council - since a team will always be stronger than a group of individuals. Honza gave us lots of brilliant ideas how to help the students become a team.
In Prague we visited the National Parliament where we could watch the film about it first and then we had a chance to see it personally. We were wondering how many Czech politicians started their parliamentary career in a school parliament J
During the whole visit our students had a chance to participate in great classes: PE (with the elements of team building), ceramics, where they could decorate little clay houses; chemistry, where they learnt how to write a secret message on the paper, and then make it visible using a flame etc. They went bowling with the families, they visited the sights in Usti or… went shopping in the shopping centre. Some of the other attractions were a trip by a cable car (with great view of the city) or a visit in a zoo.
All this perfectly organized! Petra, once again thank you and your team for your hard work in making such friendly atmosphere. It was a real pleasure to see your school, to meet the teachers, to get into the ideas of school councils, to visit Usti and Prague. We appreciate it so much.
